The Queen's Head is an historic 17th Century Coaching Inn, situated in the Troutbeck Valley, just 3 miles from Windermere. Throughout the inn are solid oak beams, stone flag floors and heart-warming log fires by which you can enjoy a deserved drink, ordered from the bar which was once an Elizabethan four poster bed from a room in Appleby Castle. Hotel guests home comforts are very much of this century. The bedrooms are all non-smoking and are tastefully furnished fully en-suite with bath and shower, as well as toiletries, flat screen TV with Freesat digital TV and radio package and tea and coffee making facilities accompanied with our own homemade shortbread.
